A note from Pastor Travis 7/21/22

Dear FUMC Family and Friends,

How is your garden doing? I enjoy watching the progress of mine. I missed looking at it on Monday, and when I went to water it on Tuesday, I couldn’t believe how big the peppers have gotten! Soon we will all have more vegetables than we can eat. What are you planning to do with the bounty of your harvest? I have a suggestion. Starting this Sunday, we are putting a basket out at the church for fresh vegetables. We invite you to place items from your garden (or any extra vegetables you buy from the store) in them. Then The Food Drive will distribute them to those in need. It will truly be a gift for seniors, the food banks, and Bread of Life to receive fresh produce! The basket will be available on Sunday mornings, and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30-2:00.

This Sunday we host the Union Service. There is a lot of special music planned, and it will be a wonderful service. The Methodist presence has been strong at the Union services, and I hope that if you are in town, you will join us as we host the Union churches.

Another exciting reason to come to church on Sunday is to see the improvements to the sanctuary. Alicia has made two new banners and they look wonderful. Ray has been hard at work too. He has been putting a new coat (in some areas several coats) of paint. Ray isn’t done yet, but our sacred worship space is already looking fresh.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Peace and Grace,

Pastor Travis
