A note from Pastor Travis = Holy Week 2026
Today we find ourselves in the heart of Holy Week. The events that unfold over the next few days are at the core of our tradition and our faith. We worship a risen Christ and a liberating Gospel. We believe that God redeems our lives and calls for us to transform our world.
Tonight, we reflect on the idea that what we traditionally call the last supper was also the first supper. Our Maundy Thursday service is a mixture of joy and grief. We celebrate Holy Communion and then journey with Jesus to the garden where he is arrested.
Tomorrow night we will gather to remember the cross, reflecting on Jesus’ last 7 words. Yet, even in the sorry of Good Friday, there is already a glimmer of hope. Jesus’ crucifixion is not the end. Death cannot hold Christ. Easter is coming.
On Sunday we will join together with shouts of “alleluia” as we celebrate the joy of hope realized, for Christ is risen!
Join us for this sacred week of worship and invite family and friends so that they too can experience the abundant grace of this season.
