Winter 2026 Christian Ed notes
Sunday School, PreK-Gr 8 – 10am
We are working with a new curriculum, Celebrate Wonder, a multi-age program to “help children connect their faith and Bible stories to their everyday lives”! Children will continue to attend worship with their families and, after the Children’s Time, will gather in Peabody Hall (on the second floor) for Sunday School. All children are welcome!
AOK SUNDAYS
We will continue to have AOK (Acts of Kindness) Sundays on the first Sunday of the Month. We have planned activities for our children to be in mission: baking special desserts for the Food Drive, working to support The Bread of Life, thinking about how we can help our friends in Haiti, and sending special cards and treats to our homebound members. We welcome new ideas that help our children help others!
CHILDREN’S MOMENT DURING WORSHIP SERVICES
We warmly invite your children to join us at First United Methodist Church for a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and deepen their relationship with God during our engaging Children’s Time with Rev. Bonnette-Kim. This special time is thoughtfully designed around the themes and stories from the Bible. Children can explore their faith, ask questions, and grow spiritually. Come be a part of this joyful adventure!
FUMC CHILDREN’S PRAYGROUND
When in the sanctuary or Emerson Hall for worship, we invite the youngest members of our congregation to enjoy our Children’s Prayground, a cozy area in our worship spaces, designed especially for them with toys, books, paper and crayons! And, yes, there may be giggles and little noises – we love the sounds of children in our church!
