Children & Youth News June 9, 2022
For our Children’s Time and Intergenerational Moment on Pentecost Sunday, we imagined what it was like to be at the first birthday of the Church, when the Holy Spirit surprised everyone by coming to Jesus’ disciples and teaching them to speak in new languages. Then, we invited the Holy Spirit to surprise us right there in our sanctuary, as we remembered that God is always with us. We waved our red streamers, blew our pinwheels, and felt the Spirit among us.
Please watch the video linked below (two minutes!) if you haven’t already. (If you need a streamer or a pinwheel, we still have some at church!)
Note that we will continue to offer Children’s Time each Sunday during the month of June!
Notice to youth parents (parents of those currently in middle school or high school, those who have just graduated, or those who will be in these groups in the fall): Please be in touch with Jayleigh, if you haven’t already, if your children are interested in an environmental service project with a member of our congregation. This is a fun and important project (plus you get free ice cream afterwards!), but it works best with more people. We have planned it for this coming Sunday, June 12, in the early afternoon, but if more are available on another date, we might be able to reschedule.
