A note from Pastor Travis 1/13/21

Dear FUMC Family and Friends,

The church Leadership Team, staff, and volunteers have worked hard to assure that we are able to provide a safe environment for our church members and guests. We continually monitor the situation with COVID-19 and make decisions related to building use, activities, and worship based on keeping people safe. This has led us to explore a number of ways that we can gather for worship and study, both in person and virtually. As a result, our ministry has expanded in creative ways that we would not have imagined a few years ago.

One of the ways that our ministry has grown is through our virtual worship. Now, every Sunday, you can go to church either in person or virtually. Recently, through a lot of hard work by Cory and Bert, we have added a live stream option for virtual worship. By following this link on YouTube, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCs9NaZyiEx2FLdUWmAwWYMw, you can join us live on Sunday mornings for worship at 10:00. A few weeks ago, when I was on vacation, I joined worship through our live stream option, and I had a wonderful worship experience with our congregation. We are grateful to Cory and Bert for providing this option for us to worship together.

In addition, during this COVID-19 surge, Tuesday Morning Bible Study is meeting virtually. We are studying the book of Romans. This week, we will be looking at chapter 11. You are welcome to join us. We meet at 10:30 and you can join us by contacting the church office for the zoom link.

I give thanks for everyone’s care during COVID-19. Thank you for following rules around wearing masks and social distancing in the building. If you are feeling ill, please stay home and join us for worship virtually. However you join us, it is a blessing to be a church together.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Travis
