A note from Pastor Travis 4/29/21

Dear FUMC Family and Friends,

COVID-19 has caused many difficulties over the past year. One of the hardest things has been the inability to gather in community to celebrate the lives and mourn the loss of those who have died. It has made our grief process different.  This is true for those who have died due to COVID-19 and those who have died of other causes. Therefore, on Sunday May 16 as part of our worship service, we will be holding a Time of Remembrance. In this time, we will name the people that we have lost and give thanks to God for their lives.  This will be done in both our virtual and our in-person worship services. If you would like to submit a name of anyone who has died, please email me at bonnette-kim@gmail.com. Because we record the virtual service ahead of time, I need the names by Monday, May 10 at the latest.

Grief is hard. It is our hope that this Time of Remembrance gives us a way to express our grief and give thanks for those that we love. I hope you will join us, either virtually or in-person, for this important time of reflection and prayer.

Blessings,

Pastor Travis
