In just a few days, we will be saying goodbye to 2022, and welcoming 2023. It has been an interesting year filled with challenges and blessings, and through it all God has been with us.

I look forward to the coming year and all of the opportunities that we will have as a church. As we trust God’s Spirit, God will lead us boldly, giving us a vision that will help us bear witness to God’s love in the world.

We will begin the new year with worship on Sunday, January 1. As part of worship, we will have a Wesleyan Covenant Renewal Service. This is a tradition which has been a part of the Methodist movement from the beginning. It is traditionally held on January 1 and gives us the opportunity to reflect on our lives and to recommit ourselves to faithfully follow God in the new year. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to embrace this new year, and to open ourselves to God’s abiding presence and leading.

I thank you for the blessings of this past year, and I look forward to our journey together in 2023.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Travis
