Last Sunday, we “buried our alleluias” for the start of Lent. They are now safely “sleeping” in our church, and will be uncovered joyfully on Easter Sunday. If you missed being able to watch our Children’s Time, you can watch the recording here: https://youtu.be/ixQngzy1Z00?t=454.
We are continuing to make plans for Lent and Easter, and would like your ideas for activities (an Easter egg hunt is already planned!). Please be in touch with Jayleigh (jennifer.jayleigh.lewis@gmail.com) to share your ideas. (Or feel free to reach out just to let us know how you are doing.)

Here is another opportunity for children and families from Sarah Goodloe, who has asked for our help in giving to people in Ukraine (this will also be sent in a direct email to families):
Here’s my invitation to the children of the church:
• Make a colorful card (+ Ukraine’s colors of blue and yellow) or drawing with words of support, kindness, & care• Take a photo of it & email it to me at sarah.fumc@gmail.com• I will add a caption with the Russian translation (trust me, eastern Ukrainians speak Russian; Oleg and I speak in Russian, too, though I’ve just begun to learn Ukrainian)• I’ll share a copy with Russian caption back with you and also send it on to Oleg to share with people and children who have fled the war and whose homes may have been destroyed. (Feel free to write cards specifically to Oleg, Volodya, and their families, if you’d like; they are Ukrainian and not only serving displaced people but grappling with the destruction of their country, too.)
If families would like support with the logistics of this (we have art supplies and cards available at the church), let Jayleigh know and she will help you!
