A note from Pastor Travis 5/28/26
We have had a wonderful May. For many churches, May is a time to wind down and slow down. However, for our church, May has been exciting, and the fun isn’t over!
This Sunday, May 31, is the perfect end to a great month. Though Sunday is officially Trinity Sunday, it is much more than that for us. It is the day that we celebrate our graduates!
We invite you to join us in this heartfelt celebration as we honor the remarkable achievements of our graduates! This moment is not just about the culmination of years of hard work and dedication; it’s a testament to the journey of personal growth and learning that embodies the spirit of our community at FUMC Melrose.
Then, after worship, we are holding our Haitian Flag Day Potluck Fundraiser. We are so close to our goal of $5000 to help our ministry in L’Asile. We have currently raised $4300! Together we can make life better for our siblings there. This is a great Sunday to invite family and friends.
Yet, as wonderful as May has been, June has great things in store too.
June 14 – Confirmation Sunday and Children’s Sunday. Join us as we welcome a new member into our congregation and celebrate our children’s ministry.
June 21 – Pride Sunday. In all that we do as a church, we seek to be a welcoming and inclusive community. On Pride Sunday, we pause to celebrate the gifts of our LGBTQ siblings and the joy of being a reconciling community.
Blessings and grace,
Pastor Travis
