A note from Pastor Travis 2/15/24
Growing up, I was blessed with the opportunity to attend church camp. I went to summer camp, and I attended winter retreats each January. They are some of the best memories of my life. I met some wonderful people, many with whom I am still friends. I found some important mentors, who helped shape me in my important teen years. I grew closer to God.
I know that many of you had similar experiences with summer camp. I would love it if our children and youth had the same opportunity. They can! The New England Conference of the United Methodist Church has 3 camps that offer summer programs for children and youth. They are well run and those who attend have a wonderful time. I sent my two kids and they loved it. In fact, Amanda enjoyed it so much she went back after she graduated high school to be a summer councilor.
If you know a child or a teen who would like to go to summer camp, now is the time to sign up. They do not have to be a member of the church to go. If you would like to learn more, you can speak to me or follow these handy links:

Camp Wanakee in New Hampshire www.wanakee.org
The church has scholarships available to help defray the cost. If you are an adult and would like to go on a day retreat, then there are opportunities for you too at Rolling Ridge in Nort Andover, www.rollingridge.org/programs
Blessings,
Pastor Travis
