A note from our Pastor 9/14/23

First UMC Melrose is the place to be this Sunday! Our church will be filled with excitement and activity. 

Here are the highlights: 

1. Mission Story in worship – During worship we will hear a report of the many wonderful things that happened on our mission trip to Maine – complete with pictures! 

2. AOK is baking cookies – We invite all children and youth to join us in making cookies during Sunday School for the Food Drive! 

3. Pasta Lunch – Join us as we enjoy fellowship and food following worship. 

4. Fill the Fridge – Help us pack pasta meals for our Sunday Free Meal Program. 

We are currently giving away approximately 70 meals a week. This means that the two freezers are nearly empty every Sunday afternoon and need to be restocked during the week. We are hoping to pack enough pasta meals to keep the freezers fully stocked for the next few weeks. 

5. Discover what is happening next – On Sunday we will highlight many of the wonderful ministry opportunities that are happening this fall. This will give you an opportunity to mark your calendars so that you can be involved! 

6. This is the perfect opportunity to invite a friend to church! Sunday is going to be wonderful!
