A note from Stacey

Dear friends,

“If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything had become new!  All this is from God…”  (1 Corinthians 5:17,18)

Sometimes I think we should celebrate the New Year on September 1 instead of January 1.  The cooler air, the start of school, new programs at church and in the community-it all feels like a new start, doesn’t it?

God offers us all a new start-fresh every morning.  God offers it to us, but doesn’t force it on us.  It’s ours for the asking-new life new love, our sins and mistakes wiped away-new opportunities for reconciliation, peace and hope.  We spend our lives as Christians exploring all the newness that God offers to us.  As a community of faith we help each other learn and follow in the way of new life.

There’s so much new going on at First United Methodist Church this fall.  Be a part of God’s new creation!  Join us for worship, study and service.
