Our “Monday Meditations” lecture series for 2013-2014 begins Monday, September 23. This year-long series is focused on Community and Prayer. As a congregation, we recognize that a healthy church needs both a deep sense of community and a strong prayer life in order to support our members and the surrounding community both spiritually and physically. Through this lecture series and our “Got Prayer?” workshops, we will explore what it means to be a community of faith in today’s world.

On September 23 at 7:30pm, Dr. M. Thomas Thangaraj, Visiting Professor of World Christianity, Boston University School of Theology and Professor Emeritus of World Christianity, Candler School of Theology, Emory University, will be speaking. His lecture is titled “Praying in a Religiously Pluralistic India: Problems and Possibilities.” The evening will consist of a one hour lecture followed by 30 minutes of Q&A.

Further lectures in the “Monday Meditations” series will be held from 7:30-9:00pm on Oct 21, Nov 18, Feb 24, March 24, and April 28. Mark your calendars!
