Feeding Ministry

As a church community, we support the Bread of Life ministry in Malden, MA, our neighboring town.  Once a month, our congregation comes together to prepare, serve (and afterwards, tidy up) a nutritious, delicious meal for the Bread of Life guests.  Learn more about the Bread of Life and it’s work HERE

This past winter, FUMC participated, with the Melrose Clergy Association,  in a blanket drive to provide blankets to the Bread of Life.  Here is a note from their special projects coordinator on that effort:

 We want to give you our heartfelt thanks for participating in the blanket drive to aid homeless people who come to Bread of Life for food. You were moved to compassion – and then moved into action! The churches of the Melrose Clergy Association were able to collect 107 blankets! What a blessing you are to folks who are poor and homeless. We’ve been giving the blankets out as we see the need or get requests.

Thank you for partnering with us to eliminate hunger and help families transition from poverty to self-reliance.
