A note from Pastor Travis 9/18/25

“I had a dream of days gone by

When hopes were high and life worth living

I dreamed that love would never die

And then, I dreamed that God would be forgiving.”

So begins one of the many powerful songs in the musical based on Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables. It is a powerful song from a powerful story. It is also a story that is filled with religious themes.

We will be holding a class to explore some of these themes, Wednesdays, October 15-November 19 at 7 pm. It will be hybrid, both in person and on Zoom.

The study material we will be using is written by the same author of The Redemption of Scrooge that we studied last Advent, which was a lot of fun and well received.

If you are unfamiliar with the story or would like a refresher, we invite you to join us for a delightful experience as we gather to watch the inspiring movie version of Les Misérables after worship Sunday, October 12, in Emerson Hall. This is a wonderful opportunity, whether you’re new to the story or seeking a refreshing revisit, to immerse yourself in a tale of hope, redemption, and the power of community. Following the movie, we encourage you to sign up for our engaging study class, where we’ll explore the profound themes and messages together.

But wait! Why not crank up the fun meter by inviting a friend or two to share in on this enriching experience; invite them to dive into the movie and then explore its themes together in our study.

But, wait there is more! There are many other wonderful ways to be involved in the life of our church, read below to find out more:
