A note from Pastor Travis 4/3/25

I missed the donkey! When Stacey and I met to plan my transition to become pastor of First UMC Melrose, she told me that the Community Palm Parade down Main Street included a donkey. Needless to say, I was excited.

A palm parade with a donkey, how cool is that! Alas, that tradition ended before I could experience my first Community Palm Parade here in Melrose.

Never-the-less, I enjoy the Community Palm Parade, and I am blessed by all of the ways that we mark Holy Week and celebrate Easter in our church.

I encourage you to invite family and friends to join us for our Holy Week and Easter services. They are a gift that will bless their lives.

Yard Sale

The church will be holding a Yard Sale on Saturday, May 17. You can begin to bring items to the church on the Monday following Easter, April 21.

We need volunteers to help price items, to bring items up from the basement, to help at the yard sale, and to help carry unsold items away following the sale. If you can volunteer, please contact the church office.

Blessings,

Pastor Travis
