Holiday Missions

We had a great response to our Giving Tree Gift Donations this year… the chapel benches were full of gifts to go to needy families in our community. Thank you everyone who participated in this time honored FUMC Melrose tradition of helping our neighbors!

This year we also tried something new with a Mission Market. What do you give someone who already has everything they need? How about making a donation on their behalf! We provided opportunities for our FUMC Melrose church family to buy a bag of rice to feed a family in Haiti or provide funds for meals for those in need of food assistance right here in our community. Cards were sent either by email or real mail to the “honoree” letting them know a gift had been given in their name.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make Christmas a little brighter for our brothers and sisters in need at home and abroad.
