A note from Pastor Travis 8/19/21
Dear FUMC Family and Friends,
There are a lot of horrible things happening in the world. Thinking about them can be overwhelming. It may even make us want to shut down. Yet, even as this dark cloud hangs over our world, rays of sunshine break through. Some of that sunshine is emanating from First United Methodist Church of Melrose. God has gifted our congregation with talented people who are committed to serving God, and that is what we are doing. Though Covid-19 has necessarily caused us to make adjustments to our ministry, we continue to faithfully reach out in God’s love. As you read this week’s e-news, you will see some of the ways that we are active, especially responding to the tragedy in Haiti.
Thank you for your faithfulness in a difficult time. We will pass through these challenges together. God is with us.
Blessings,
Pastor Travis
