A message from the Pastor: January 2015
Dear friends,
This issue of the Gleam goes to press in the midst of Christmas preparations. The or- gan has been tuned. The poinsettias are in the office, staying warm till Christmas Eve. A big pile of toys awaits delivery by Kathy Stewart to the Melrose Housing Authority, where they will make some children very happy. Joe, our custodian, is making things neat and clean after the delicious breakfast and amazing audience participation Christ- mas pageant yesterday.
The presence of the Spirit at First United Methodist Church is palpable. We are not without challenges. But there is a positive, “can do attitude” as we worship and minis- ter together. It’s a privilege to serve Christ with you. May the new year find us mov- ing together into a faithful future.
