Soup and Spirit

Ash Wednesday is early this year! On Wednesday, February 14th please join us for fellowship and a bowl of home made soup at 6pm followed by our Ash Wednesday service at 7pm. Join us as we enter into Lent together.

Lenten Study

This year our Lenten Study will be in person, on Wednesday nights February 21 – March 20,

6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Our study will be on the book Mosaic and will examine how God uses the broken pieces of our lives to reframe our purpose, turning our discarded hopes and dreams into something beautiful and useful – a mosaic in which God uses all of the pieces. Shane Stanford, the author, says, “This journey will take us along the same path Jesus walked in the days before and days along his own journey to Jerusalem. We will see the similarities to our own stories and the lesson we should pick up, like pebbles along the path.”

Please use this link to sign up for the study: https://forms.gle/KwqbqicT1ncHLbTW8

We invite everyone to join us for the study. We ask that you please sign up so that we can order you a copy of the book. Books are $14. To sign up, email the church office: fumc@fumcmelrose.comWe also will need volunteers to make soup. If you can volunteer, please sign up on the bulletin board outside of the library (Emerson Hall), or email/call the office.
