Reverend Stacey Gould Lanier
The Rev. Stacey Gould Lanier was appointed to First United Methodist Church in Melrose in July, 2014.
Stacey’s focus in ministry is on the welcoming and forgiving grace of God as well as Christ’s call to provide care and justice for all persons. She is committed to ministry that is open to diversity of persons and perspectives, and to working in partnership with members of the congregation to extend ministry and mission into the world.
Stacey and her husband, Stewart, live in Melrose. They have three grown daughters, and a yellow lab, Tony the Wonderdog, and a cat, Pearl Grey. Stacey graduated from Drew University and Candler School of Theology and did post graduate work at Hartford Seminary. She previously served churches in East Hartford, CT, Lunenburg, Gardner, Norwell and Worcester, MA.
Some of the things that she enjoys are hanging out on the porch, gardening, rugmaking, cooking, word games, collage making , visiting art museums, going for walks and bicycling.
