200 Years of FUMC in Melrose
2015 marks 200 years from meeting of the first organized Methodist group in (what is now) Melrose. We are marking our Bi-Centennial Anniversary with a series of events throughout 2015. In the following pages you find documents and photographs pertaining to the churches long history in Melrose.
The “historical potluck” which kicked off our bicentennial celebration in March was filled with laughter and sharing and reminiscing. We seated a congregational time line which is now having in the front hall. we invite everyone to stop by and add your own special dates to the time line.
If you have photos of events from our congregation’s past, we would like to borrow them. We’ll scan them and put them on the church website as well as in our archives, and they will be returned to you. Send or bring them to the church – and it would be especially helpful if you would identify the date and the event, as well as any people in the photo. Please put your name on the back so that we can get them back to you.
We are always looking for documents and photographs to add to our archives. If you have any documents or information to share, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
